MY WISHFUL WEDNESDAY ( 21 )
After absent from reading mystery stories, now I’m craving for good and unsolved-unpredictable mystery that not only fill with action nor drama-romance. So I pick my lifetime favorite author : Dame Agatha Christie, where her works already become my best friend ever since I’m in junior high-school. Her books (who also already translate into Bahasa Indonesia) from series and non-series, almost over 100 books, I collected one by one, from many different edition (back then, I don’t have financial to bought all the books, so I just trying to find a way and be passion to collected over than 10 years), now the completed series just short on few titles. Some of them I cannot find it in Indonesia, and only choice is to buy an import books, but woow ... the prizes still too much for me, so now I making a Wishful Dreams (^_^) – who knows there’s a generous Santa will giving them as my birthday present next month *making wishes*

HICKORY DICKORY DOCK by Agatha Christie
Preview :
There,s more than petty theft going on in a London youth hostel...An outbreak of kleptomania at a student hostel was not normally the sort of crime that aroused Hercule Poirot,s interest. But when he saw the list of stolen and vandalized items - including a stethoscope, some old flannel trousers, a box of chocolates, a slashed rucksack and a diamond ring found in a bowl of soup - he congratulated the warden, Mrs Hubbard, on a 'unique and beautiful problem,. The list made absolutely no sense at all. But, reasoned Poirot, if this was merely a petty thief at work, why was everyone at the hostel so frightened?

SPIDER’S WEB by Agatha Christie
[ also known as ‘THE UNEXPECTED GUEST” ]
Preview :
Clarissa, the young wife of a foreign office diplomat, delights in tweaking the sensibilities of her more serious friends by playing a game she calls "supposing"--imagining a difficult situation and finding out how people would respond. But Clarissa's lighthearted games becomes deadly serious when she discovers the body of an unknown person in her own drawing room. If that weren't bad enough, her husband is on the way home with an important foreign politician. Clarissa decides to dispose of the body and persuades her three houseguests to help. But before she can get the corpse off the premises, a policeman knocks at her front door. Now Clarissa must keep the body hidden, convince the skeptical police inspector that there has been no murder, and, in the meantime, find out who has been murdered, why, and what the body is doing in her house...

A full-length novel by Charles Osborne adapted from Agatha Christie's stage play, in which a diplomat's wife finds a body that mustn't be discovered! Following BLACK COFFEE and THE UNEXPECTED GUEST comes the final Agatha Christie play novelisation, bringing her superb storytelling to a new legion of fans. Clarissa, the wife of a Foreign Office diplomat, is given to daydreaming. 'Supposing I were to come down one morning and find a dead body in the library, what should I do?' she muses. Clarissa has her chance to find out when she discovers a body in the drawing-room of her house in Kent. Desperate to dispose of the body before her husband comes home with an important foreign politician, Clarissa persuades her three house guests to become accessories and accomplices. It seems that the murdered man was not unknown to certain members of the house party (but which ones?), and the search begins for the murderer and the motive, while at the same time trying to persuade a police inspector that there has been no murder at all!
